ISPLC2006 Achievement award in Orlando (FL, USA, 28.03.2006): For the
fundamental role in creating what is today the most important technical

IEEE Communications Society conference

[September 2003] Our prominent member Prof.emer.dr. F.L.H.M.
(Louis) Stumpers, dr. h.c. passed away on September 27, at age
92. A.o., he was chairman of the IEEE International Symposium on
Information Theory (ISIT) held in Brussels in 1962, as well as the IEEE
ISIT in Noordwijk in 1970. A curriculum vitae (in Dutch), published by
